Angus!! I agree, I think there is power in a silent February — in doing what feels natural instead of forced. But I’m grateful to read your words today, old and new.

I had to laugh at February 31st 😂 a scheduled February off sounds like a wonderful idea though. Here in NZ it feels a bit different I think as it's Summer in February and school is just starting for the year. But I can totally see this for July! Loved reading the throwback post too, always inspiring and gives me hope x

I really thought about you and Mars when I re-read that post and hoped you feel some hope in it! At the time, it was helpful to look back and see (despite it still being challenging) that we were really on the other side of a lot of those early worries. :)

YES! Can we all decide Februaries are our creative months off? Like August for Europe? I find myself absolutely clawing at the very bottom of the well searching for creativity. Februaries should be months of physical, mental, and creative hibernation.

I love the idea of a silent February! I'm really struggling to get words on the page and I'm finally letting go of expectations and of course as soon as I do that I start flowing with ideas... I loved the throwback post! especially the part about the "window of opportunity." It's something that can only come with time and experience.

Aw thank you, it really does help! Have you got all of your older posts on Substack or are they hosted somewhere else?

I chose a few from my old blog to put up on my Substack - in a “Before This” section - mostly so I could refer to them if I felt the need, but shut down my old page. I’ve been playing around with what kind of a collection I could make from them, but for now, they just live here.
