You're a better man than I Gunga Din. And, the electoral votes were finally tallied and Trump didn't win. What, if anything, will be done about it remains to be seen. But some how knowing this salves my old heart considerably. My faith in a better man can rise again.

Thanks, Wanda, it’s a daily attempt to keep it together. It will all sort out, somehow, and hopefully too much won’t be damaged in the time it takes for us to right ourselves.

It feels like a nightmare. I'm related to some who are relishing in the chaos and destruction and the sadness is so overwhelming sometimes.

It is overwhelming, we’ve got to take care of ourselves as all this unfolds…!

Robin — This is a wonderfully honest, spirited piece that also, amazingly, lands in a place of compassion, just exactly what I and I think many of us aspire to everyday. I’m honored that you’ve included my recent post here and appreciative of the reminder that we can feel what we feel without inviting anger to take up long-term residency. You and I follow many of the same writers for many of the same reasons. “Look for the helpers.” Thank you! 🙏

A great childhood anecdote to lead into your piece Robin.

The piece itself was wonderful as well :)

"My middle fingers may discreetly lift off the steering wheel ever so slightly as he roars around me, but I (usually) remember to send a silent note of goodwill. May you reach your destination safely. May your mood improve before you kill someone." ... I kackled at this one! I wasted a whole day doom-scrolling yesterday. I can't let this orange man and his sidekicks steal my middle age. "Action absorbs anxiety" YES!!

Ohhh, the doom-scrolling was me today! It's so hard not to get sucked in to the vortex of horribleness. My middle fingers are getting sore for sure ;)
